Edible High Lines are the new trend this holiday season.

You can find the latest creation at Cookshop, a favorite neighborhood restaurant located on the corner of 10th Avenue and West 20th Street.


The mini-High Line, made entirely of gingerbread, frosting, and festive winter plants, captures some of the park’s iconic architectural details, like the art deco railing and the Pentagram-designed High Line “H” logo on the structure’s column. There are even two gingerbread people taking a pleasant wintertime stroll.

This is the second edible High Line we’ve seen this holiday season. At Thanksgiving, our friends at Inhabitat New York City created a High Line centerpiece made of vegetables, sushi containers, and chopsticks. They even put together a tutorial on how to make one for your own holiday table.
